OPTICAL AFFAIRS X KARL LAGERFELD VINTAGE
In 1985, we met with Eric Wright, the visionary designer behind Karl Lagerfeld. From that remarkable encounter grew a lasting friendship and a creative partnership that shaped the evolution of Karl Lagerfeld eyewear well into the 2000s.
The gifted Eric Wright, working closely with Karl Lagerfeld, helped bring our imagination to life. Together, we crafted runway pieces that fused their bold vision with our distinctive aesthetic, a defining moment when we emerged as true pioneers of fashion eyewear, setting a standard that continues to inspire today.
Recently, we rediscovered a handful of these exceptional, one-of-a-kind creations from the iconic collaboration of the late ’80s. Among them is the KL2, color 047, a beautiful textured light-hued horn acetate that perfectly embodies the spirit of that era. It is with great excitement that we present these rare pieces once again—timeless works that capture the innovation, artistry, and unmistakable identity at the heart of that extraordinary period.
