CHRISTIAN ROTH VINTAGE - SERIES 14225

$325.00

The Reinvented Aviator. Released in 2002, Series 14225 reimagines the classic aviator through bold acetate construction and an innovative cut-and-paste technique pioneered by Christian Roth. The double-layer acetate is precisely cut above the bridge, reversed, and delicately reinserted, creating a bold graphic accent and offering new ways to explore contrast, texture, and light. This edition, in deep black lined with warm Havana tones, embodies strength and timeless style.

A true icon, Series 14225 continues to leave its mark on fashion and photography. It is currently featured in the Helmut Newton: Polaroids exhibition in Berlin (on view through August 17, 2025), captured in Newton’s final Monte Carlo fashion shoot with five models, each wearing this exact design. The museum selected the powerful image for the exhibition’s official poster and promotional materials.

Handcrafted by skilled artisans in the Italian Dolomites, this technique became a defining expression of modern eyewear craft, setting the stage for a new era of acetate innovation.

Mint, unworn vintage condition.
