CHRISTIAN ROTH - SERIES 14228
Introduced a few seasons after the landmark Series 14215, Series 14228 builds on the bold language of early 2000s eyewear with a distinctly futuristic and aerodynamic silhouette. Sculpted in pure titanium and handcrafted in Japan, the design features fluid, performance-driven lines with a signature curlicue temple detail, a graphic flourish that would soon echo across the eyewear world. Not long later, a celebrated Italian fashion house renowned for its opulent, bohemian aesthetic, borrowed heavily from this design language for its own eyewear debut. As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Originally positioned as a women’s frame, its edgy yet elegant form transcended categories, aligning with the early Y2K gender-fluid style movement and further cementing Christian Roth’s place at the forefront of fashion innovation. (Only a handful of these original designs remain, available in select colorways, each one a rare artifact of design history.)
Mint, unworn vintage condition.
